With all of the stresses that come along with adulthood, I’m always on the lookout for a good stress relief activity.
I know that working out makes me feel better.
Eating some veggies.
Getting outside. And you guessed it…drinking tea.
I know, not where you thought I was going with this (sorry?).
I love my nightly ritual of lemon zinger chamomile tea in bed.
A warm mug of Honey Chai Tumeric Vitality while on the couch watching a movie puts me in my happy place.
A to-go thermos of Positive Energy as I head out to my son’s baseball game, where I’ll be met with unnecessarily brisk winds, takes the edge off.
And as an added bonus to drinking all of this tea, I’ve started my collection of positive affirmations. Some of these tea bags have little pieces of paper stapled to the end of the strings and written on them are little words of wisdom. I’ll be honest, it was a while before I noticed this added feature. It kinda bums me out to think of all of the pep talks I’ve missed. So I’ve become a bit attached to these mico notes and I’ve started to pull them off the strings and collect them.
Hi, my name is Laura and I’m a teabaggin’ note hoarder. There, I feel better already.
However you find your motivation, your words of wisdom, or your small sliver of positivity in your day, hold onto it. I am.
To convey this same message, I could have easily shared the pep talk I gave my son after his loss in baseball this week, but in my mind this was the clear front runner.
